PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography began as a hobby for me. Then it transformed into a partial career. But throughout the whole time it's always been a passion. Below you'll find some commissioned pieces, some works of passion and some inspired projects.

Photography Collections

This photography collection was a profile project I did on Inita D., a drag queen who won Miss Stonewall 2024 and Miss D.I. Entertainer of the Year 2024. She allowed me to document her throughout the night, from eating dinner in her home to performing on the stage.

Life, Love & Loss

People fall in love at all different stages of their life. Sometimes that love lasts, sometimes it doesn’t. I wanted to capture real love on camera at different stages of life to highlight an individual’s journey from being alone to finding a partner.

Life, Love, & Loss tells the story of life and how love intertwines its way through it. It also depicts the breakdown of different love stages that life is split into. In order to achieve this, I photographed strangers from around the world who are at different points in their life and at different spots in their love journey. By capturing people of all ages and in all different stages of love, I was able to map together a timeline of life and milestones within it.

While the project mainly focuses on love aspects, loss is portrayed throughout the project, particularly the loss of love. However, this project tries to highlight love lasting after loss.

it's only gender, darling

In a world where gender is so imbalanced in everything we do, whether it be pay, human rights, or how people are treated in general, I thought it was important to highlight that gender doesn’t really impact who we are or what we can do with our lives. In order to capture this, I had subjects pose in stances opposite of the gender they identify with.

It's only gender, darling focuses on the gender imbalance in society. By posing women in masculine stances and posing men doing feminine tasks, the typical gender roles set by society are defied.

This project tries to take a stance on societies concept of gender by having the subjects of said photos positioned in ways they traditionally may not be positioned.

Eras Tour (Georgina's Version)

“I'm thankful that when I go to bed at night, that I have been myself that day. And I have been myself all the days before that.” - Taylor Swift

I grew up dancing to Taylor Swift in my bedroom and still love her music to this day. But it's not only her music that's inspiring, it's the way she challenges the music industry by constantly reinventing herself. She often discusses the struggles women face having to reinvent themselves. With her start as an innocent, young country girl, her evolution of changing genres to remain popular, her reclaiming the narrative after the entire world turned against her and becoming the villain they painted her as, her falling in love, and finally accepting herself for who she is and burning down all the other versions of herself. It's all inspiring.

This collection represents the journey one takes to find themselves and happiness by being themself. The final image not only parallels her most recent album, “Midnights,” it also represents the burning down of all past selves that weren’t true to being one's own self.
