As an editor, I wrote articles but also edited features section articles. Then I was promoted to Center Spread Editor where I had creative liberty over the center spread. In this position I wrote the entire center fold pieces, as well as creating the theme of each center spread. I started a new initiative to theme each center spread story to a movie and do the fonts and graphics and overall theme based off of that movie.

As a photographer and artist I photographed events and people and drew artwork that was featured in the newspaper. One front page drawing I created even won the 2019 Diversity Award.
