My Story
During grad school, I got the pleasure of interning for The Daily Beast, Dateline and TODAY.com - the online branch of the Today Show. While at The Daily Beast, I functioned as a breaking news intern, covering the most pressing stories of the day across politics and entertainment. At Dateline, I assisted in finding potential cases for the show to cover, as well as writing articles on cold cases and drafting podcast segments. While at TODAY.com, I pitched, researched, interviewed, and wrote a variety of articles that mainly focused on pop culture, trends, and parenting.
Before grad school, I was a beat reporter for Inside Defense, covering emerging technologies - including Defense Department policies, programs and initiatives relating to AI, autonomy, cyber, microelectronics, hypersonics and quantum computing. Previously, I worked for Sightline Media Group, where I published pieces in The Military Times, Defense News, The Air Force Times, The Army Times, and C4ISRNET. In the past, I worked for PBS To the Contrary, served as the Copy Managing Editor at The Eagle, and worked on a podcast at Clubhouse. I also did freelance fashion photography in Copenhagen, and I worked as the Digital Marketing Assistant for American University’s College of Arts and Sciences.
I’m a New York City-based journalist who received my bachelor’s degree in communications in 2023 (with a concentration in journalism) from American University, where I minored in psychology to pair with this degree. I got my master's from NYU in magazine and digital storytelling in December 2025. I'm also so honored to be the recipient of Allegheny County’s 2019 Diversity Award for my work on the Tree of Life Shooting published in The Devil’s Advocate. Additionally, I take pride in having helped The Eagle win many awards over the years through my copy editing of award-winning stories and coverage.
I specialize in photojournalism, fashion photography, and portrait photography, but have experience photographing all different subjects, events, and moments. I am experienced in both digital photography and film photography.
